On the road

Many organisations today realize that to truly become mobile and capitalize on the skillsets of their employees they need to provide solutions that will work for employees on the road. OnTime Group Calendar 2011 has two different clients that focuses on these challenges, each developed with a specific work situation and set of everyday business processes in mind.

Browser client

for a PC or Apple Mac. This version provides the user with most of the functionality from the Lotus Notes 8.5x native OnTime Group Calendar client but requires no install and will run in the same set of browsers supported by iNotes. This will allow a user to log in, check availability and even initiate a Lotus Sametime chat from the Group Calendar if the organisation has enabled this service.

OnTime Mobile Calendar

Working from a mobile device differs from working on a PC or Mac in many ways. The most significant difference from a group calendar perspective is of course the sheer size of the screen itself. This solution allows the users a very flexible way to define which users should be included in the overview and makes extensive use of search across appointment subject and other content.
